WALKING ON BONES (NO COWS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS BLOG)

Mona left quite early in the morning to get her flight, the rest of us went to see the killing fields. without seeing the prison the day before, this wouldn't have had such an impact. As you enter the compound there is a memorial with hundreds of human skulls in a huge glass cabinet. The place is a bit eery, and you can see pieces of bone still in the footpath. According to the signs, towards the end of the regime they would kill about 300 people a day there. It is a very strange thing that people in this country are Buddist and one of the most important thing for them is a proper burial, and it's still a sore point for the families of the victims that they haven't been given one. They have the names of everyone who was killed so why not give them a burial? Again i suppose it's more profitable to keep their bones in glass cases for tourists.

we had a good night out after that, went to a few bars that looked dodgy before but thought we'd give them a try. These bars are incredible, they have a number of hostesses, anything between 10 and 15 girls, who go mental when you walk in, and start grabbing you and making you drinks, and giving you massages, it was great fun. The owner of the bar was an English bloke, a little bit seedy, he told us that if you want to take one of the girls out you had to pay a $5 bar fine and the rest was up to the girl. Strange, but probably a lot better than a life on the streets.

We went clubbing and had some more shots, it was Kai's birthday again we had decided, so we had a reason to get so drunk. we bumped into Dee Dee the gay Peter Pan guy from the other night, and were the last ones out of the club at about 4am. I was dancing so I must have been really drunk.
